1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Important Warnings
Before using your appliance read this instructions manual carefully and
keep it in a safe place as you may need to consult it in the future.
Before turning on your appliance, and to ensure a safe and correct
operation, do not use if:
• It has fallen to the ground;
• You notice any evidence of damage;
• Any anomaly occurs during its operation.
To avoid hazards or deterioration of your appliance through incorrect
use it is advisable to read these instructions thoroughly.
Your appliance may not be used for other purposes than the ones
intended and solely for household use. Any damage resulting from
using the appliance outside this scope, any incorrect use, as well as
any manual modications to the product will not be covered and
automatically voids the warranty.

Warning: to avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
remove the cover. The interior does not contain any parts
that can be repaired by the user. Ask for assistance from

In case of malfunction, take your appliance to a qualied technician for
assistance.
This appliance can be used by children from the age of 8 and by
people with reduced physical, sensorial or mental capabilities and/or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given instructions
on using the appliance safely and if they understand the hazards
involved. Children may not play with the appliance. Cleaning and
maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

1.1. Power Supply
Make sure the main voltage is compatible with the appliance’s. If this is
not the case please consult the Customer Support Service.
1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables
Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance. Also, keep
the cord away from warm surfaces.
Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.
Take it to the Technical Support Service for replacement.
1.3. Humidity and Water
Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance
to become wet under any circumstances as this may be dangerous.
To avoid re hazard or electric shock do not expose your appliance
to humidity or water. Furthermore, do not place your appliance under
water (e.g. for cleaning).

1.4. Cleaning
Before cleaning, be sure to switch o the appliance and remove the
plug from the main power supply. Always allow the unit to cool down
before cleaning.
To clean the exterior of the product use a dry soft cloth only.
1.5. General Precautions
• Please follow the instructions in the user manual which help to
properly install and operate this product and enjoy its advanced
features. Please keep the instructions for future reference.
• Read all instructions before using the product.
• Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by
authorized professionals.
• Any damage caused by manual modications to the product is not
covered by the warranty.
• If this product is used for other purposes than the ones originally
intended, or if it is not correctly connected, the product may become
damaged and the warranty will be voided.
• Before using the appliance for the rst time, read the operating
instructions carefully. Keep the instructions, including the warranty,
the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you
give this device to other people, please also provide them with these
operating instructions.
• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the
designed purpose. This appliance is not t for commercial use. Do
not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight,
humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use
the appliance when your hands are wet. If the appliance is humid or
wet, unplug it immediately.

• When cleaning it or storing it, switch o the appliance and always
unplug it from the outlet (pull the plug itself, not the cord). If the
appliance is not being used, remove the attached accessories.
• Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you leave the
room, turn the appliance o and unplug it from the outlet.
• The appliance and the power cord have to be checked regularly
for signs of damage. If these show signs of damage, do not use the
appliance.
• Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an
authorized technician. To avoid exposure to danger, all faulty cables
must only be repaired by the manufacturer, by our customer service
or by a qualied technician, using a cable of the same type.
• Use only original spare parts.

Special Safety Instructions for this Appliance
WARNING!:
• Never add water to the oil!
• Oils and fats may burn when overheated. Please be careful!
Do not forget to switch o the appliance after use. Start
by turning the thermostat to the lowest setting and, then,
remove the power cord from the outlet.
• Please do not operate the appliance with an external timer or a
separate remote control system.

2.2. Using the Product
Operation
Before using the appliance for the rst time:
1. Remove the packaging. Then take the lid o the deep fryer. Inside
the deep fryer you will nd a frying basket. Take all objects out of the
fryer.
2. It is highly recommended to clean the lid, casing, container and
frying basket as described in the Cleaning session.
3. Please pull the connecting cable out of the cable compartment.
CAUTION: OVERLOAD:
• When using extension cords, these should have a cable
cross-section of, at least, 1.5 mm2.
• Do not use any power strips, as this device is too powerful.
Useful tips
1. Always remove the food remaining in the oil (e.g. pieces of French
fries). Change the oil after using the appliance a few times. Use high
quality frying oil or frying grease.
2. Fats and oils must be heatable to high temperatures. Do not use
margarine, olive oil or butter. These are not t for frying, as they start
to smoke even at low temperatures. We recommend the use of liquid
frying oil.
WARNING:
If you use fat, please divide it up into small pieces. Set the
thermostat to a low temperature and add the pieces slowly.
Once the fat has melted and the correct oil level is reached,
you can set the desired temperature on the thermostat.
Under no circumstances should you place the fat as
a whole directly into the deep frying basket!

3. In order to reduce the acrylamide content of food containing starch
(potatoes, cereals) the temperature during deep-frying should not
exceed 190° C (or possibly 195° C). Furthermore, the frying time
should be kept as short as possible and the food only fried until it
turns golden yellow.
4. Please note that the safety switch (7) is operated when the control
element is inserted in the guide mechanism.
5. Choose the right frying temperature and check the conditions of
the food to be fried. A rule of thumb is that pre-fried foods require a
higher temperature than raw foods.
6. Do not carry or move the deep fryer if the oil or grease is still hot.
7. When frying dough-like foods, scrape o the excess dough and put
the pieces carefully into the oil.
8. Please ensure that the deep frying basket handle has been correctly
attached.
• Press the ends of the wire together at the free end of the handle.
• Insert the brackets into wire hoops inside the basket.
9. The deep frying basket must not be more than 2/3 full. Do not
overll the frying basket.
10. Rub dry humid foods with a cloth before frying.
CAUTION:
Large amounts of moist food items (e.g. frozen chips etc.)
may foam the oil which, under certain circumstances, may
cause the oil to overow.
