u Only connect to the vehicle using the power adapters provided.

Non-user serviceable parts inside. Refer any servicing to a qualied service
engineer.
u To reduce the risk of re or electrical shock, do not expose this unit to rain or
moisture.
u To clean this device, wipe the case with a lint-free cloth. Do not use any
cleaning uids containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasives.
u Do not expose the product or components to naked ame sources.
u Electronic equipment, components and substances can be hazardous to your
health and the environment if not disposed of correctly.
u Electronic equipment marked with the WEEE symbol must not be
disposed with other household waste, and should be disposed of separately
in line with current regulations.

Package Contents
The DAB/DAB+ receiver is used to select radio stations
and change settings.
The active antenna is mounted to the inside of the
windscreen and is connected to the DAB/DAB+ receiver
(MCX connector)
The magnetic holder is used to mount the DAB/DAB+
receiver to the vehicle air vent.
The 3.5mm cable is used to connect the DAB/DAB+
receiver to the auxiliary input on the vehicle radio if present.
The exi 12v power socket adapter is used to mount and
power the DAB/DAB+ receiver. The metal exi mount can
be adjusted to a position for optimal viewing. This also
features a USB charger. Max output is 5V 2.1amp.
The Dual USB charger is used to power both the
DAB/DAB+ receiver and charge an additional device.
Max output is 5V 4.8amp combined.
The Micro USB cable is used in conjunction with the dual
cigarette lighter adapter to power the DAB/DAB+ receiver
when installed using the vent mount magnet holder.
A replacement fuse is provided (if required).

Installation Considerations
Vehicle Requirements
u Audio system with either an FM receiver or 3.5mm auxiliary input
u 12-24V negative earth power system
Position of the Active Antenna
The antenna is designed to be mounted directly onto the inside of the windscreen.
Power to the antenna is provided directly from the ADI-300 via the coaxial cable.
u In vehicles with polarised windscreens, it is advised to t the antenna to the
rear or side window. Please keep in mind a heated rear screen could affect
the performance or reception.
u Check the cable length to ensure the connector can reach the
DAB/DAB+ receiver.
u When tting to the windscreen ensure that the area is clean and dry. Position
the antenna so it does not obstruct the drivers view of the road.
We recommended tting the antenna to the passenger side vertically
150mm from the top of the windscreen (see diagram below)
u Attach the adhesive tab to a metal xing point on A-pillar.
u To prevent damage to the ADI-300, if not using the antenna provided only use
an active antenna that is powered via the coaxial cable.

The receiver can be mounted using the provided magnetic air vent holder or using
the exi 12v power socket Adapter.
u Install in a location that is clearly visible and allows access for usability
u Install in a location that does no cause an obstruction to other functions
within the vehicle.

Connecting to your Audio System
There are two options to connect the ADI-300 to your in-car audio system.
You can connect using the 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the auxiliary connection of
your audio unit, or connect by transmitting the audio wirelessly to an available
FM frequency.
u It is recommended to use the 3.5mm auxiliary cable for best performance.
You will need to check if an AUX Input is available on your in-car system.
For more information, see your existing audio system user guide.
u The ADI-300 will wirelessly transmit DAB and Bluetooth calls & audio via FM.
You can set the transmission frequency between 87.6-107.9 MHz and set your
audio system to the same frequency to receive digital radio and audio from the
ADI-300.
u Press the TX/SCAN button to show the current FM transmitting frequency.
Turn the rotary button to adjust the transmitting frequency manually.
u Switch the car radio’s FM frequency to the frequency set on the
DAB/DAB+ receiver, for the sound to be received by the audio system.

To Listen to Digital Radio
1. Press the Mode button to switch the source to “DAB”
2. Press the TX/SCAN button to complete a full scan of DAB/DAB+ stations.
The unit will display “scanning…” on the screen. Once scanning is complete,
the unit will play the rst DAB/DAB+ channel automatically
3. Rotate the “Rotary Button Control” to choose your desired DAB/DAB+ station.
4. Press the Info/Menu button to check the DAB/DAB+ info.
Streaming Music & Calls from your
Mobile Device or Tablet
1. Press the Mode button to switch the source to “BT”.
2. The rst time selected the device will display “Unconnected”. Activate your
mobile device or tablet’s Bluetooth function and search for new devices.
When your device nds the DAB/DAB+ receiver (named “ADI-300”), select this
to connect.
3. After connection is complete, the screen with display “connected”. Now you can
stream music or receive calls from your mobile device.
4. Operate the rotary button to play/pause or select previous/next song.
5. When in any other mode and a call is received, the unit will automatically switch
to telephone mode and “Calling” will be displayed. To accept the call press the
Rotary Button Control. The screen will now display “In Call”.
Listen to Music from MicroSD
1. Press the Mode button to switch the source to MicroSD
2. Insert a Micro SD card which contains music les in MP3 format.
3. Operate the Rotary Button control to play/pause or select previous/next track.
Listen to Music from an External Audio Device
This device supports playback of other devices that use a 3.5mm audio jack plug.
1. Use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect your audio device to the AUX input of the
ADI-300.
2. Press the Mode button to switch the source to AUX and enjoy your music.

Charging other Devices
There is a USB charging slot in the 12v Flexi power socket adapter with a 5V/2.1A
output. Connect a USB charging cable (not included) to your mobile device or tablet
to charge.
The dual USB charger has an extra USB charging slot. The total output is 5V/4.8A.
Connect a USB charging cable (not included) to your mobile device or tablet to
charge.
