Assembly Instructions
1) REAR WHEEL DECK TO MAIN FRAME
a) Stand main frame upright. There is a slot on either
side of rear portion of the main frame.
b) Rear wheel deck has two bolts already installed.
These bolts will be used to guide the rear wheel
deck into position.
c) Position the rear wheel deck so that the sprocket is
on the same side as the sprocket on the main frame
(right side) and the two support bars are facing up.
d) Slide the rear wheel deck using the 2 bolts into the slots in the
rear of the main frame. Make sure the washers on the bolts of
the rear wheel deck remain on the outside of the main frame.
Secure, but do not fully tighten one nut using 14mm wrench or
socket to hold rear wheel deck in place.
(These four rear deck nuts will be fully tightened after chain is
installed)

e) Install the remaining two (2) 14mm shoulder bolts in the
frame from the inside, slide flat washer over bolt; install
nylock nut and hand tighten.
2) ATTACHING REAR WHEELS
a) Remove axle nuts from the rear wheel deck. 22mm socket
or adjustable wrench may be used.
b) Slide one rear wheel over left axle and against wide spacer
then place thin flat washer and replace 22mm nut, hand tighten
only. Be sure to keep wide spacer between wheel and rear
wheel deck axle bearing.
c) Slide second rear wheel over right axel and make sure the
three (3) pins on the axle hub are inserted into wheel, install
thin flat washer and 22mm nylock nut. Tighten both wheels
securely with 22mm socket or adjustable wrench.
CAUTION: THE NUTS ON BOTH WHEELS MUST BE
TIGHTENED SECURELY BEFORE RIDING THE
AMTRYKE. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
NOTICE: OVER TIGHTENING THE LEFT WHEEL MAY
CAUSE THE BEARINGS TO BIND WHEN TRYKE IS RIDDEN. IF AMTRYKE MAKES A LOUD
CLICKING NOISE WHEN RIDING, CHECK TO SEE THAT REAR WHEELS ARE NOT OVER-
TIGHTENED.

3) ATTACHING FRONT WHEEL
a) Using a 15mm wrench or socket loosen the nuts on front wheel, but do not remove. Loosen nuts so that
the threaded portion of the axel is visible between hub and nuts.
b) The front fork of the main frame has two slotted holes, a 3/16” hole, and a screw (used for fender
installation) on each fork tube. Do not remove the screws.
c) Slide the front wheel up into the front fork so that the threaded axel is inserted in the slotted holes while
keeping the two retaining washers on the outside of each fork.
d) Each side of the wheel will have a washer with a bent tab
on it, this is the retaining washer, the bent tab of each
retaining washer gets inserted into the 3/16” hole, tighten
the two nuts on the front wheel axel with a 15mm wrench
or socket. CAUTION: THE TWO NUTS ON THE
WHEEL MUST BE TIGHTENED SECURELY BEFORE
RIDING THE AMTRYKE.
4) INSTALLING THE CHAIN
The chain is a series of links attached to each other. The master link has 3 parts to it: the link, the retaining link
and the clip.
a) Lay chain over rear axel (do not thread the
chain onto the sprocket yet)
b) Thread chain around front sprocket.
c) Connect the two ends with the link portion
of the master link.

d) The chain should be very loose and have plenty of slack in it. Slide the retaining link (resembles a figure
eight) over the two exposed chain link pins.
e) With open end of the clip pointing towards the back of the tryke, slide the clip over one pin. Align the
open end of the clip with the other pin. Using a pair of needle nose pliers grasp the closed end of the clip
and the front pin of the chain link and compress until clip surrounds both chain pins. CAUTION:
FAILURE TO INSTALL CHAIN CORRECTLY CAN RESULT IN THE CHAIN COMING OFF.
f) Thread chain over rear wheel sprocket, you can spin the right rear wheel to aide in the installation.
g) Loosen the one bolt nut on the rear deck that you hand tightened from Step 1 (d). Pull back on rear
wheel deck until chain is tight. Chain should only have ½” of play up and down.
h) Tighten the four 14mm rear deck nuts now (refer to Step 1 (d) and (e)) securely.
CAUTION: THE FOUR 14MM REAR DECK NUTS MUST BE TIGHTENED SECURELY BEFORE
RIDING THE AMTRYKE.
5) Basket Assembly
The basket has four sides, one bottom, eight metal clips, two flat metal straps, four bolts, four nuts and eight
washers. You will need a 12mm and a 13mm wrench or socket and a pair of pliers to install.
a) Basket Bottom
Lay the bottom of the basket on the rear deck with the tabs sticking
upright and centered between the two rear wheels. Make sure that it
is not resting against the angled portion of the main frame of the
bike.
b) Install metal straps
You will need the two flat metal straps, the four bolts, the four nuts
and the eight washers. Lay flat metal straps over bottom of basket so
that it aligns with the holes drilled in rear deck, slide one washer
over each bolt, insert bolts through flat metal straps and through
holes in rear deck frame. Install one washer and nut on each bolt on
the underside of support frame. Be sure the bottom of basket is
centered, and then tighten bolts/ nuts with 12mm and 13mm sockets
or wrenches.

c) Back Basket Wall
The bottom of the back wall has two pins sticking down from it;
install those into the two eyelets of the bottom.
d) Right Side Basket Wall
Slide the right basket wall into the back basket wall and basket
bottom. Make sure the hook pins slide into the eyelets of the back
wall, and the hook pins sticking up from the basket bottom are on
the outside of the side wall.
e) Left Side Basket Wall
Install the left side basket wall using the same instructions as the
right side wall.
f) Front Basket Wall
Install the front basket wall in a similar fashion.
g) Finishing Basket
You will now need a pair of pliers and the eight metal clips to finish the basket. Place one clip at a time, two
per side at the bottom where each side touches the bottom of the basket (1). Put the open end of the clip over
the basket side and bottom, use pliers to compress each one so that it stays in place (2).

6) Installing Handlebars
The steering system has the following components, the stem
(gooseneck) and the handlebars. You will need a 5mm and 6mm
Allen key wrench.
Steering Stem
Remove plastic sleeve from bottom of steering stem. Stand in front
of the bike and center stem with the front wheel. Insert the steering
stem into the front fork tube. Insert steering stem to the dashed line
minimum insertion line. Tighten with the 6mm Allen key to tighten
the bolt that runs through the length of the steering stem.
CAUTION: THE STEM MUST BE INSERTED INTO THE FORK
HEAD TUBE TO AT LEAST THE MIMIMUM INSERTION
LINE.
a) Handlebars
Slide handlebars through steering stem until ridged area is inside the
steering stem. Adjust handlebars to preferred rider position and
tighten steering stem clamp bolt using 5mm Allen key.
7) Installing the Brake Levers
There is a right and left brake lever. You will need a 5mm Allen
key wrench for this installation. Each brake lever has a button on it
with a spring underneath it. The brake lever should be installed so
the button is on the top side and the hand grip pointing to the
outside of the tryke.
a) Slide one brake lever over one side of the handlebar until just
before the curved portion of the handlebar. Adjust the position of
the brake lever to a comfortable position. Tighten the brake lever
clamp with the 5mm Allen wrench securely so that it can not slide.

b) Repeat this process for opposite side.
8) Installing Rear Brake Cable
a) The rear brake cable is already threaded through the points of the
frame to secure it. You will be installing the brake cable into the
rear brake assembly and into the front brake lever. You will need
a pair of pliers and a 6mm wrench, socket or adjustable wrench.
b) The rear brake assembly has several parts to it; you only need to
be familiar with a few of these for this installation.
c) The parts that you will need to know are the Ferrule (D), spring
(E) and Cable clamp (F).
9) Installing and Adjusting the Front Brakes

Note: The front brake is the less dominate braking system and should not be utilized as the primary brake when
stopping.
Attaching the Brake Cable to the Brake Lever
1) BRAKE CABLE BEZEL. The brake
cable bezel has two parts, the bezel and
the locking nut. The bezel and the
locking nut each have a slot that makes it
possible for the cable to slide through.
Align the slots of the bezel and the
locking nut with the slot in the brake
handle.

2) Pull on barrel end of cable until three
inches of silver cable are exposed. Pull
brake lever until barrel clamp is visible.
Lay the barrel end and silver cable in the
aligned slots. Rotate the bezel 45 degrees
to the right, while rotating the locking nut
45 degrees to the left.
3) Continue to hold brake lever and insert
barrel end of cable into clamp as show
below.
