Beskrivning
Gewa Andromeda IR-detektorer förstärker IR-signalerna och överför informationen till
mottagaren. Detektorerna finns i olika kapslingar för inomhus- och utomhusmontering.

Placering
Välj om möjligt plats där detektorn är skyddad från direkt infallande solljus, vilket sätter ner
räckvidden. Observera att detta är ett optiskt system och man bör därför ha fri sikt mellan
sändare och detektor. Inomhus reflekteras dock ljuset mot väggar, golv och tak. Ljusa
material ger en god reflektion medan mörka ger en sämre reflektion. Glas släpper igenom IR-
ljuset.
Anslutning
Anslutning av detektor till mottagare sker enligt anvisningen för respektive mottagare. OBS!
Inkopplingsanvisning hänvisar till detektorkabelns färger. Var noggrann vid inkoppling av
detektorn till mottagaren, felanslutning kan medföra att elektroniken skadas. Vid förlängning
av detektorledning kan EKKX 1x2x0,5 användas. Max total ledningslängd är 100m.
OBS! Vid montering av Gewa Andromeda IR-DET OEM skall detektorns hölje alltid vara
isolerad från elektriskt ledande material.
OBS! Detektorer som är nämnda i denna manual kan endast kopplas till Gewa Andromeda
IR-mottagare.

Description
The Gewa Andromeda IR-detectors amplify the IR-signals and transfer information to the
receiver board. The detectors are available with different casings for in- or outdoor mounting.

Location
If possible choose a location where the detector is protected against direct sunlight, which
reduces the range. Please note that this is an optical system and consequently there must be
no obstructions between the transmitter and the detector. Indoors the light however is
reflected against walls, floor and ceiling. Light materials are good reflectors while dark
materials are bad ones. Glass will let the IR-light through.
Connection
Connect the detector according to the instructions for each individual receiver. NOTE! The
connection instructions refer to the colours of the detector cable. Be careful when connecting
the detector to the receiver. Making the wrong connection may damage the detector. When
lengthening the detector cable EKKX 1x2x0.5 is used. Maximum 100 m detector cable can
be connected.
Note! When mounting the Gewa Andromeda IR-DET OEM the detector casing must be
isolated from electrically conducting material.
Note! Detectors included in this manual can only be connected to Gewa Andromeda IR-
receivers.

l'information à la carte réceptrice (récepteur). Ces détecteurs existent sous plusieurs formes
selon l'utilisation : Intérieur ou extérieur.

Emplacement
Choisissez si-possible un emplacement où le détecteur est protégé des rayons directs du
soleil. Notez qu'il s'agit d'un système optique et qu'il ne doit pas y avoir d'obstacles entre
l'émetteur et le détecteur. Dans un environnement intérieur, le faisceau infrarouge se
réfléchit sur les murs, les sols et les plafonds. Les matériaux de couleur claire réfléchissent
mieux le rayonnement infrarouge que ceux de couleur sombre. Par ailleurs, un rayonnement
infrarouge peut traverser le verre.
Connexion
Le raccordement du détecteur au récepteur doit être réalisé conformément aux instructions
du récepteur concerné. N. B. : Les instructions de raccordement renvoient aux couleurs des
câbles du détecteur. Soyez très prudent lorsque vous réalisez le raccordement du détecteur
au récepteur car une mauvaise connexion risquerait d'endommager le système électronique.
Pour prolonger le câble du détecteur, vous pouvez utiliser un câble EKKX 1 x 2 x 0,5 mm².
La longueur maximale du câble est limitée à 100 m.
N. B. : Lors de l'installation du détecteur Gewa Andromeda IR-DET OEM, le boîtier du
détecteur doit être électriquement isolé de tout matériau conducteur.
N. B. : Les détecteurs mentionnés dans ce manuel ne peuvent être connectés qu'à des
détecteurs infrarouge Gewa Andromeda.
